Casa Italia

High Point, NC

As part of CCI-NC’s ongoing efforts to promote Italian business, design, and innovation in North Carolina, Dr. Valentina Cecchi, Honorary Consul of Italy to North Carolina and President of CCI-NC, made a special appearance at Casa Italia during the spring 2024 High Point Market—the world’s largest furniture trade show.

Held twice a year in High Point, NC, the Market draws over 75,000 industry professionals and features more than 2,000 exhibitors from around the world. Among its most distinctive showcases is Casa Italia, the 110,000-square-foot ship-shaped showroom in the heart of downtown High Point, devoted exclusively to Made in Italy home furnishings and design.

Originally designed by renowned Italian architect Mario Bellini and home to Natuzzi Americas, Casa Italia continues to serve as a hub for Italy’s top furniture brands, offering a curated shopping experience that celebrates the depth and craftsmanship of Italian design.

During her visit, Dr. Cecchi met with a number of Italian manufacturers, designers, and business leaders exhibiting at Casa Italia. Her presence underscored Italy’s strong support for its business community abroad and reinforced the importance of maintaining and growing economic ties between Italy and the United States.

By engaging directly with the Italian design community at this globally recognized event, Dr. Cecchi reaffirmed her commitment to supporting Italian foreign direct investment in North Carolina, while also highlighting the critical role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening international partnerships.
