Percorso di Lingua e Cultura Italiana per Bambini

CCI-NC is moving forward with the planning of a new initiative. With the support of the Director of Education for the Italian Consulate in Philadelphia (Patrizia Monti) and from Italy (to assist in providing textbooks and educational materials), we would like to gauge the interest of the community in a weekend Italian school for children: "Percorso di Lingua e Cultura Italiana per Bambini". The pilot in-person program would be located in Charlotte, NC.

Language, however, is not the only focus of the trip. Since Milan is home to Italy's Stock Exchange, it is a hub for business and technology, and not just food and fashion. Consequently, the scholarship recipient has the opportunity to visit various Italian businesses and shadow managers of these companies in order to gain insights into how the Italian business world functions.

The preliminary plan is to have four classes based on the children's ages/grade levels, as well as level of Italian proficiency, for two hours per week (tentatively Sunday afternoons), beginning in January 2021.

The initiative is being spearheaded by CCI-NC Vice President Dr. Valentina Cecchi, and community members Simona Baldini, Sara Pasquali, Luisa Rovatti, and Anna Tardini.

The details related to location, program, and school fee will be coming soon!

If you might be interested in enrolling your child(ren) in the program, or if you would like more information, please take a moment to complete this brief survey.
